The only professional orchestra in the Lake Constance region, the South West German Philharmonic Orchestra showcases its wide-ranging repertoire at more than 130 concerts a year in Constance and on tour.
Every season, famous soloists and virtuosos, including Anna Netrebko, Rolando Villazón, Tabea Zimmermann and Rudolf Buchbinder, join the 65 permanent musicians of the orchestra.
In addition to the philharmonic concerts in the Council of Constance building, there are several special concerts, for example the New Year’s Day concert, the lighthearted carnival season concerts, the open-air summer programme and the eduART concerts for younger audiences. The repertoire also includes chamber music with ensembles featuring members of the orchestra.
