Reichenau, the largest island on Lake Constance and a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers many things to do and see, including a magnificent avenue of poplars, Romanesque churches and idyllic scenery.
Famous for its vegetable fields, vineyards and views over Lake Constance and the Rhine, the island is ideal for cycling and walking tours. There are also three churches in idyllic settings – the Minster of St Mary and St Mark with the Schatzkammer (treasury), St George’s Church with its Ottonian murals and the Church of St Peter and St Paul. Other attractions include the cosy restaurants serving traditional local dishes and a varied programme of events.
