The popular residents’ picnic is held every year on the lakeshore in the Stadtgarten municipal gardens. All residents are invited – just bring along a blanket and a picnic and meet friends old and new. If you prefer to eat at a table, there are folding tables with white tablecloths for you to sit at.
There is also a small programme of entertainment with music and a bouncy castle for younger visitors. The picnic is organised by Marketing und Tourismus Konstanz GmbH (MTK). The event still takes place even if there is a little rain. “The residents’ picnic is the perfect way to see out a summer by the lake,” says Eric Thiel, CEO of MTK, and adds: “Just come along and enjoy a relaxed and convivial picnic in the centre of town – for one day only.”
