The website of the city of Constance provides real-time information about free spaces in all multi-storey car parks, as well as opening times, pricing, a holiday map and plenty more.

There are five multi-storey car parks (Marktstätte, Lago, Altstadt, Fischmarkt, Augustinerplatz) in and around the town centre, and one ground-level car park (Döbele). There are two further multi-storey car parks in Petershausen (Benediktinerplatz and Seerheincenter) and a park-and-ride car park at the Bodenseeforum. An excellent parking information system with 33 signs displays the availability in the seven multi-storey car parks in real time. • Ferries run from Constance to Meersburg, Mainau Island, Schaffhausen, Lindau, Bregenz, Friedrichshafen and the pile dwellings in Unteruhldingen, as well as across the Rhine and Constance’s Trichter bay. Pleasure cruises and sightseeing tours to places of interest on Lake Überlingen are also available, but there are no circular tours around the entire lake. Visit our boat trips page for further details on available packages.

Further details about luggage transfers, accommodation and more is available on the website of the Lake Constance Cycle Route. The route is tarmacked in places.

  • Holders of the Constance Visitor’s Pass can enjoy discounts on a variety of attractions and services. This includes free travel on the local bus network, as well as discounts on guided tours and on admission to museums and the Sea Life centre. There is also a 10 per cent discount at Spitalkellerei, on a spa session and on a sailing trip on Lake Constance, and discounts on bike hire from Kultur-Rädle. More information is available here.
